Matronoides cyaneipennis
This damselfly is found in South East Asia. The beautiful iridescent wings of the males are highlighted when placed against a dark background. The hind wings exhibit iridescence that is blue from above and green from below. These structures are used in courtship display. Male NHMUK010208332 Blue/brown wings. Female NHMUK010208333 Clear wings. Both collected in Borneo in 1913 by John Coney Moulton.
