Halarachnion ligulatum
Grows on rock, stones, shells and maerl in the subtidal, occurring at depths of up to 17m. This species is widely distributed around the British Isles. BM001219183 – This specimen was collected in 1833 from Salcombe (Devon) by Mrs Amelia Griffiths: a well known Victorian seaweed expert.
