Collected in 1982 from the Hillier Arboretum, Ampfield, Hampshire. An upright, deciduous shrub or small tree with deeply lobed, toothed, mid-green leaves turning bright red in autumn. Small clusters of tiny, reddish-purple flowers in spring are followed by red, winged fruit.
